Justification
The goal is lean was an assignment that took an array of English skills. We first started out by naming 8 wastes of DOWNTIME that we read in the book. We then picked 4 of those wastes and went more in depth on them. We then needed to write an essay about a character who was eliminating a waste and how they were doing it. (file below) I chose Mike the Foreman on the 3rd shift of the Heat Treat. Mike was able to increase production from Heat Treat by 10% which is really significant because this was a bottleneck. This was a culmination of many different English skills and Essay writing.
