Evidence for Measuring LAP
I completed three LAPS pertaining to measuring. Within these three LAPS I was taught the proper way to use a ruler and tape measure. Common things to use but you would be surprised how many people don't know how to use them properly. I later learned how to use a micrometer and a caliper. These are essential tools used everyday in the shop. I finished the LAP learning how to use a dial caliper. This allowed me to accurately measure the height of an object.

- Use an outside micrometer graduated in metric units to measure the length of a part
- Use a micrometer to measure the outside diameter of a cylindrical part
- Master a dial indicator
- Measure length using a dial indicator
Justification
I believe that everyone should know how to use the tools that were listed above in my skills section. I feel this because these are all simple objects to use and find data with. Most work environments will want you to know or have a background in these particular areas. I can proudly say that I am confident in my abilities to use a micrometer, caliper, ruler and tape measure. For that reason I have included this in my portfolio.
