Packaging Project
I partook in a project headed at MTA that involved teamwork and innovative thinking. Called the packaging project, this project started off with one of the local sales people from a local business Grand Traverse Container showing up and talking too the students about packaging. He explained all of the different designs and ideas that have came to fruition as time has passed and we need more and more effective ways to ship merchandise safely but also cost effectively. We then later the next week were assigned to teams where we attended seminars that would give us the ability to pass a test that would lets us receive a certification. The certification then lets us plan design and create the box for what we were shipping. The objects we were shipping were three clay pots. We all collaborated within our team deciding upon which design would be effective but also cheap. After we created our box we made a sales pitch to a manufacture who would be interested in shipping all of his pots in our desired box design. We then sent our packages to Colorado and they came back.

Justification
This project required a balanced group effort to be able to create and meet all of the deadlines that were required. My team called cubic containers did this wonderfully. I once again refined and honed in my ability to interact and get along with teammates. After so many group projects this is like second nature to me. Our team won or came in first place the manufacture decided that we had the best sales pitch and box. When our box came back no pots were broken and everything looked like brand new on the outside. Overall my team and I dominated the competition and won the whole thing. Below I have some of the work that I completed for my group.
